Sherman Buffet #3: Fresh, Affordable Chinese Cuisine in Stockton

Here; you're getting what you paid for but it's good food for a great deal.

Update: Wednesday, February 28, 2024 PM Sherman’s sounded kind of good for dinner. It was either that or Mickey D’s. I figured for 10 bucks, why not? They were busy the entire time I was there. Pretty much a line to the door for takeout. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Fried rice is kind of bland. I did not try the chow mein. The boneless garlic chicken thighs are pretty good. the peel and the shrimp were good. They had barbecue chicken instead of barbecue pork which was OK. The soda is weak The sweet-and-sour pork and orange pork… I think it was pork it could’ve been chicken, was NOT GOOD‼ Pretty much hard little lumps of dough, sometimes you get a piece of fat, but very little pork meat. Everything was always hot and fresh since they were so busy. That’s the reason I only go to buffets during the busy time i.e. dinner hour. I’m sure I will go back at some point… I mean for 10 bucks‼ —————— Update: Wednesday, February 7, 2024 dinner I need to give this place an additional star. They did a good job tonight. I went here because the Pershing store is closed on Wednesday which I did not realize. I have no complaints about eating here tonight. I believe this was better than the last time I was here which was shortly after they first opened. Then the food was just so-so. Putting it in context and remembering that it’s a buffet and only $10 you definitely get your moneys worth. No, it’s not gourmet but if you go during peak hours the food is normally hot and fresh! How can you beat that for 10 bucks? It’s a better deal than McDonald’s! There are several Sherman restaurants in town and they seem to close on different days which is great so if one is closed you can go to the next one! Genius ——————— Dinner buffet. All you can eat. $10. You get what you pay for. I imagine you can eat $10 worth. They have barbecued pork, shrimp, cream cheese puffs, Fried chicken, orange chicken, chow mein, fried rice, egg flower soup plus more. Like all of buffets, it’s definitely best to go during peak hours i.e. lunch or dinner. The food is fresher. If you’re on a budget, give this place a try.

Me, my wife and my sister decided to try this place out since it's so close to where we live and I got to say it wasn't that bad, the price and portions were really good, you can dine in and takeout if you want. Food was tasty, they have this hot sauce that you can use and it was delicious. Overall you can't beat the price and portions, if you want a place that is affordable and fulls you this is the play to go .

Les than $10 for 2 item combo chinese food, I'll do that 3x a week. So fast to get in and out, didn't have time to take pics. Smells so good when I got my order, didn't bother to take pics. Yes! Go.

You can't beat the portion for the price, not only are plate less than $10 (including getting 4 items) you get A LOT of food. It's also quality dood, every now and then it may be a little greasy but it can be easily overlooked by how flavorful it is.

I have been looking for a good authentic chinese food and finally found it. I recently had the wonton combination soup and it was great, fast and price is very reasonable. I will highly recommend.

The food tastes good (orange chicken and I think teriyaki chicken) , it's calm and quiet there. The plates, silverware, and place in general seemed pretty clean. Although there was a fly around but overall this seems like a nice place to check out.

Absolutely love this location! Excellent prices for incredible portions! One 4 item plate will feed a family for under $8!! Very friendly staff and even though they were about to close the manager made some fresh orange chicken for us and that was a huge plus and very courteous thing to do!! Went well above and beyond what excellent service is!!
